ONSITE SUPPLY STOREROOM HELPS FOOD & BEVERAGE PRODUCER SAVE TIME AND FOCUS ON MORE CRITICAL TASKS

TreeHouse Foods is a food and beverage producer that manufactures baked goods, condiments, healthy snacks, and prepared meals.

Their maintenance team, as well as an onsite electrician, work hard to keep the facility up and running daily. A critical aspect of their job is the management of electrical part and component inventory which is required to maintain product uptime.

Problem

Inventory management was taking up time and resources that could be better spent performing maintenance duties, and there was also the risk that the busy team might not get around to ordering additional supplies before they needed them. Unsure what the best course of action was, they explained their challenges to their local Fromm representative. The following week, a Fromm inventory specialist arrived to conduct an audit.

Solution

Fromm worked with the Treehouse Foods team to evaluate and analyze their needs. After identifying the usage rates for their maintenance and electrical materials, Fromm inventory specialists set up an onsite storeroom that provides security, inventory organization, and stocked electrical supplies the team needs without overflow or unnecessary material. Once a week, a Fromm associate visits Treehouse Foods to evaluate the storeroom and manage its inventory.

Result

Fromm’s vendor managed inventory (VMI) service saved the maintenance and electrical teams valuable time by keeping their storeroom organized and stocked. This allowed the Treehouse team to spend more of their time performing the critical tasks that keep the facility running.
